Engagement Session: James + Diana

Henry B. Plant Park Photo Session

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting up with James and Diana for their engagement session at the always-gorgeous Henry B. Plant Park in downtown Tampa. These two are seriously one of the sweetest couples I’ve met!

I loved getting to know them throughout the session. We even realized that James is a teacher at the high school right across from my neighborhood! Tampa is a pretty large area so it's always fun when it gets a little smaller.

James and Diana have been together for about 7 years and recently got engaged. They are so early on in their wedding planning process but were so excited to get some professional photos together! It's always a fun experience when I get to capture photos for a couple for the first time.

We met up at Henry B. Plant Park for this session since they wanted a fun, nature vibe. And Plant Park was the ideal backdrop for these two Floridians. Both born and raised right here in Central Florida, they felt right at home in the park’s lush green spaces and historic vibe. Plant Park in Tampa has this timeless charm that just makes every photo feel classic, and we explored a ton of beautiful spots to get that variety they were hoping for.

At first, James and Diana were a little nervous - which is totally normal! After a few laughs and getting comfortable, they were naturals in front of the camera. They were relaxed, playful, and completely in sync. It was so heartwarming to watch them interact and just have fun with each other in the middle of Plant Park. Their love and their story really shine through in every shot, which is honestly what I love most about these sessions.

Thanks for checking out this session! If you’re looking for a photographer in Tampa, be sure to check out my family experience page for more information on what a session with me looks like. If you’re recently engaged or just want to capture some beautiful memories together, a photo session at Plant Park (or really any of Tampa’s iconic spots) is a great way to do it. It’s an amazing chance to celebrate where you are right now in a place that feels special, and I’m always here to help you bring that vision to life. You might be surprised how fun and memorable the whole experience can be.
