Demens Landing Park Photo Session

If you’ve been thinking about a Demens Landing Park photo session, I’ve got a good one to share with you! This spot in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida (just south of the pier) is such a pretty little escape: with palm trees, water views, and just the right amount of city skyline. It’s one of my go-to places for engagement photography and couples portraits, especially for folks who live nearby and want that laid-back, St. Pete vibe.

For this session, I met up with the sweetest couple, Andrew and Susannah. They actually met through a local kickball group (how fun is that?!) and have been together for a few years now. They’re super cute together and just so easygoing. We started their photo session at home, yep, right on the front porch where Andrew proposed. (Cue all the heart eyes.) I love when sessions include spots that mean something to the couple. It always adds a little extra magic to the photos.

After enjoying some cozy at-home vibes, we made our way to Demens Landing Park to keep the session going. This park never disappoints. Whether we’re by the water, walking under the palms, or catching golden hour with the sailboats in the background, it’s such a fun (and photogenic) place for a photography session.

We spent about 20 minutes wandering around, grabbing sweet shots of the two of them laughing, cuddling, and just enjoying the moment. That’s usually how my sessions go, short + sweet, with lots of genuine moments. Then couples are free to head off for date night or meet up with friends and family (especially when it’s a proposal!).
